Terms
Last updated 18 September 2026
These are the terms for using nine. They are short on purpose, because the site is simple: it is free, it is for students, and it works if you use it honestly.
Who runs nine
nine is run from the United Kingdom by its founder. You can reach us at hello@ninegcse.com.
nine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to AQA or any other exam board. We do not host or reproduce AQA's papers or mark schemes — we link to AQA's own published materials and to third-party video walkthroughs on YouTube, which belong to the people who made them.
It is free
nine is free for every student, forever. We do not charge, and we do not have a paid tier. If anyone asks you to pay to use nine, it is not us.
Your account, and your age
You need to be at least 13 to have an account. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to email us instead of signing up.
You sign in with Google and the account is yours alone. Keep it to yourself, and don't use anyone else's. If you want your account deleted, email hello@ninegcse.com from the address you signed up with.
Grades on this site are estimates
When you log a mark we work out the grade using the real AQA grade boundaries published for that paper and series. That tells you what your mark would have been worth in that year. It is not a prediction of your actual GCSE result, it is not an official grade, and nobody at your school or at AQA sees it. Your real grade depends on the paper you sit, the boundaries set that year, and you.
Using it properly
Don't try to break the site, scrape it, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend or close an account that does. Other than that: sit the papers properly, mark them honestly, and log what you actually got — the site is only useful if the numbers are true.
Links to other sites
Past papers and walkthroughs live on other people's sites. We check the links, but we don't control that content and can't promise it will always be there. If a link is broken, tell us and we will fix it.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep nine accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. We can't promise it will never be offline, that every link will work, or that the site will be free of errors, and we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on it. Nothing here is a promise of a particular exam result. We may change or withdraw parts of the site. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
